Islands Property Developments Ltd. was established in 1991 with the objective
of providing housing management services to ensure that housing needs
throughout Orkney are addressed. The company has successfully obtained
grant funding from the Scottish Executive to enable the construction of
12 rented accommodation units in Kirkwall, where demand for such accommodation
far exceeds supply. The company also manages several properties on behalf
of Orkney Islands Council . In addition to the development of much needed
rented accomodation OIPDL has built 24 Very Sheltered Houses plus a core
unit in Kirkwall and a similar scheme in Westray, all as part of the local
Community Care Plan.

provide three supported flats for those recovering from alcohol or drugs problems. In 2011 the Company refurbished a house in Junction Road - this provided 4 flats and an office building. The flats are let to clients of Sacro.
